Location and Surrounding Environment

It can be reached from anywhere in Daejeon within one hour, and takes about 30 minutes from Namdaejeon IC or Chubu IC. Situated on a plot of more than 200 pyeong in an elevated location toward the inner part of the village, it is not isolated yet is relatively free from the gaze of those around it, and offers beautiful views of the foothills of Seodaesan nearby.

A Hanok House Remodeled Directly by the Owner

We remodeled the old hanok, with an actual floor area of around 10 pyeong, ourselves. The rafters have been exposed to preserve the traditional beauty of the hanok, and thick insulation was installed inside the earthen walls, allowing comfortable living in winter and cool conditions in summer. Due to the characteristics of a rural village, the entrance to the access road is somewhat narrow, but even a van can pass through sufficiently.

Upon opening the wooden front door, there is one combined living room and kitchen, one bedroom, and a small bathroom. Using the bedroom and living room, the layout can accommodate four to six people overnight. It is a good place to relax while looking at the distant mountains from the toe-mar루, which conveys the atmosphere of a country house, or for three or four people to sit around and enjoy a barbecue.

Living Convenience and Parking Space

There is a separate oil-boiler room with a washing machine installed. The property currently uses the village’s shared water supply, which is free of charge, and a municipal water-supply network has recently been brought up to just beyond the fence, so it can be installed upon application. KT installed a telecommunications utility pole inside the boundary, allowing internet use.

Parking is convenient, with space for one vehicle on one side of the yard, two on the access road, and one on the bridge across from the entrance.

Workshop and Greenhouse

In addition to the main house, there is a workshop building of approximately 6 pyeong. It was used as a space for woodworking as a hobby and can be used as a workshop or storage room.
